What I Learned in Art

I learned the meanings of translocation, juxtaposition, melting, and much more. We did a project trying to put the meanings into our painting. This was not easy to do. You had to think of what you're theme was and try putting those things into it using your theme. I call this project that I did the way I think because it makes you think about it but it makes sense to me. :D

We took a picture that Mrs. Thomas took and we had to draw that using proportion. I picked a lighthouse for my picture. After drawing it we used oil pastels to complete it. For my sky i took a blue and a white and blended it with my fingers so it wasn't just one plain old color. When i was blending this I ripped it, but everything turned out ok in the end.

Finally i made a project with five medias. I decided to use an old world book that we had laying around. I cut the pages out of the center. Also I cut the front cover into bars. After I had it cut out I painted keys and made stick people out of wire. I took the stick people and put them into the book with some arms sticking out like they are in jail. I look the keys and hung them on the wire and dangled them from the wire. Lastly I took small keys and glued them in the inside and also I glued some newspaper pieces into it to.
